Platon\u2019da diyalektik, birli\u011fi anlamaya y\u00f6nelik bir sorgulama s\u00fcreciyken; Aristoteles\u2019te daha \u00e7ok \u00f6nc\u00fcllerden sonuca ula\u015fan burhan\u00ee bir mant\u0131k dizgesiyle ilgilidir. Seminer, modern mant\u0131kla metafizik aras\u0131ndaki gerilimi yeniden d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmeye davet eder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>The Difference Between Plato\u2019s and Aristotle\u2019s Dialectic Approaches<\/strong><br \/>\nThe seminar begins by contrasting Plato\u2019s and Aristotle\u2019s understandings of dialectic. For Plato, dialectic is a method of inquiry into unity; for Aristotle, it is more aligned with a demonstrative structure that moves from premises to conclusions. This fundamental difference shapes each philosopher\u2019s approach to the question of being in metaphysics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Being Through One, Two, and Zero<\/strong><br \/>\nThe question of how \u201ctwo\u201d can arise from the Platonic principle of \u201cone\u201d is explored using the notions of <em>apeiron<\/em> (the indefinite) and <em>peras<\/em> (limit). Aristotle\u2019s critique targets the circularity of positing \u201ctwo\u201d without establishing its foundation.
