Ekrem Demirli, Konev\u00ee\u2019nin d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncesinde nefsin sadece zuhur eden \u015feylerin mekan\u0131 de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda bilginin ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131 alan olarak nas\u0131l kavrand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ayr\u0131nt\u0131l\u0131 \u015fekilde analiz eder. Konev\u00ee, nefsin bilgiyi m\u00fcmk\u00fcn k\u0131lmas\u0131yla birlik zeminini olu\u015ftururken, nefsin s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 dolay\u0131s\u0131yla da fark\u0131 muhafaza eder. Ekrem Demirli examines how the soul in Q\u016bnaw\u012b\u2019s thought is not only the locus where things appear but also the ground where knowledge itself arises. The seminar frames the process of knowing as a metaphysical event, whereby truth comes to know itself through the medium of the soul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>The Soul, Knowledge, and the Question of Identity<\/strong><br \/>\nAccording to Q\u016bnaw\u012b, knowledge is the process through which truth knows itself via the soul. In this sense, the soul becomes both the ground and the subject of knowledge. However, there is no absolute identity between the knower and the known, or between the manifesting and the manifested; rather, a relationship of resemblance (<em>mush\u0101bahah<\/em>) and representation exists.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Two-Tiered Structure of Knowledge<\/strong><br \/>\nThe process of knowledge is explained in two layers: in the first, the Real knows its own essential reality in eternity; in the second, this knowledge becomes manifest through the soul. Thus, knowledge is both eternal and perpetually renewed in time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tension Between Manifestation, Identity, and Difference<\/strong><br \/>\nThe relation between the manifest and the manifesting contains both unity and distinction. While the soul makes knowledge possible\u2014establishing the ground for unity\u2014its inherent limitations preserve the dimension of difference. This dialectic forms a core principle of Q\u016bnaw\u012b\u2019s metaphysics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Soul-Based Knowledge and Ontological Hierarchy<\/strong><br \/>\nThe knowledge revealed in the soul depends on its receptivity. Each being knows only according to its capacity. This view affirms a direct correlation between knowledge and being: knowledge is the unfolding of existence at the level appropriate to each being.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge as Witnessing of the Truth<\/strong><br \/>\nFor Q\u016bnaw\u012b, true knowledge is the Real witnessing itself. The soul functions as the mirror through which this witnessing occurs. Hence, knowledge is not just intellectual apprehension but the Real observing itself within its own form\u2014knowing becomes a mode of being.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><br \/>\nSeminar 42 presents knowledge as an ontological event grounded in the soul. In Q\u016bnaw\u012b\u2019s view, knowledge is not a mental operation but the process by which the Real manifests and observes itself through the soul.
