It is not only a tool for thinking but also the basis for moral responsibility and accountability.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> The Relationship Between Reason and Revelation<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mu\u1e25\u0101sib\u012b does not pit reason against revelation. On the contrary, he considers reason indispensable for understanding and implementing divine guidance. Without reason, revelation remains inaccessible and ineffective.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> The Triad of Reason, Knowledge, and Action<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reason alone is insufficient; it must be followed by knowledge (<em>\u02bfilm<\/em>) and action (<em>\u02bfamal<\/em>). Reason receives correct knowledge and should guide human conduct accordingly. Otherwise, its potential may lead to misguidance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Reason as a Restraint Against the Lower Self (Nafs)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reason functions as a moral compass that checks the desires of the ego (<em>nafs<\/em>). When reason weakens, the ego dominates. This internal struggle forms the foundation of Sufi moral purification.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Reason and Accountability in the Afterlife<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">On the Day of Judgment, human accountability is based on possession of reason. Those without reason are not held morally accountable. Hence, reason is both a guide in this world and the basis for judgment in the next.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In this first seminar, al-Mu\u1e25\u0101sib\u012b\u2019s view of reason is presented not as an abstract philosophical concept, but as the foundation of religious and ethical life.
