True sincerity requires the complete detachment of one\u2019s heart from the praise of others and self-admiration. It demands a total inward orientation toward God.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Distinguishing Between Sincerity and Ostentation (Riy\u0101<\/strong><strong>\u02be)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Riy\u0101\u02be refers to acts done to be seen or praised by others. Mu\u1e25\u0101sib\u012b stresses that deeds tainted with ostentation are nullified both in God\u2019s sight and in the soul\u2019s moral standing. Sincerity is defined as the inner expulsion of riy\u0101\u02be.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Levels of Sincerity<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sincerity exists in degrees. The highest level entails doing good solely for God\u2019s pleasure\u2014even without seeking reward. This level approaches the station of <em>i<\/em><em>\u1e25s\u0101n<\/em>, where one worships as if seeing God.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Preservation and Continuity of Sincerity<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maintaining sincerity is as critical as attaining it. Over time, one\u2019s intention may become corrupted, thus continuous self-examination (<em>mu<\/em><em>\u1e25\u0101sabah<\/em>) and vigilance (<em>mur\u0101qabah<\/em>) are required. When intention is compromised, the entire deed may lose its spiritual merit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Niyyah (Intention) as the Soul of Action<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">For Mu\u1e25\u0101sib\u012b, intention must be purely for God\u2014not only in formal worship but in all actions of daily life. Niyyah is seen as the \u201csoul\u201d of every act, and its purity determines the act\u2019s value before God.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In this second lecture, Mu\u1e25\u0101sib\u012b\u2019s concept of <em>ikhl\u0101\u1e63<\/em> (sincerity) is presented not just as a theological idea, but as a practical, ethical, and spiritual discipline.
