The main focus is the distinction between God\u2019s \u201ctrue unity\u201d and the \u201cnotional or relative unity\u201d found in created beings, thus presenting a graded view of existence. By doing so, the seminar clarifies why unity possesses ontological priority in al-Kind\u012b\u2019s philosophical system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Main Themes<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>True Unity vs. Relative Unity<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Absolute unity belongs solely to God; all other forms of unity are partial, contingent, and limited.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Metaphysical Priority of Unity<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Unity is the necessary and foundational condition of existence, whereas multiplicity emerges secondarily.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Self-Subsistence of God<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">God exists independently without the need for any external cause; His being is necessary and self-sustaining.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Fragmentation of Unity in Creation<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Matter\u2019s changeability and compositeness generate multiplicity; created unity is neither eternal nor secure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Relationship Between Taw<\/strong><strong>\u1e25\u012bd and Metaphysics<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Divine unity is not merely a religious doctrine but an ontological necessity within the structure of being.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Ontological Dependence<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">All contingent beings owe their existence to the Necessary Being; this dependence is also grasped by reason.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This seminar demonstrates that al-Kind\u012b\u2019s theory of unity and existence exhibits strong coherence across both philosophical and theological realms.
