Weber\u2019in bilim anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131, de\u011fer yarg\u0131lar\u0131ndan ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131k ilkesi, rasyonelle\u015fme kavray\u0131\u015f\u0131 ve toplumsal olgular\u0131n \u00e7ok boyutlu nedenlerle a\u00e7\u0131klanmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi vurgulan\u0131r. Bu s\u00fcre\u00e7te anlam d\u00fcnyas\u0131n\u0131n de\u011fi\u015fmesi, \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcl\u00fcl\u00fck, hesaplanabilirlik ve d\u00fczenlili\u011fin temel toplumsal normlara d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fmesi tart\u0131\u015f\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sonu\u00e7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bu seminer, Weber\u2019in metodolojik yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n Protestan ahlak\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlemesini nas\u0131l m\u00fcmk\u00fcn k\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ayr\u0131nt\u0131l\u0131 bi\u00e7imde g\u00f6stermektedir. Anlamac\u0131 sosyoloji, ideal tip y\u00f6ntemi, nedensellik anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131 ve rasyonelle\u015fme kavram\u0131; eserin geri kalan\u0131ndaki teorik tart\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n temelini olu\u015fturur. B\u00f6ylece \u00f6\u011frenci, Weber\u2019in kapitalizm analizinin sadece ekonomik de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda derin bir metodolojik ve kavramsal temele dayand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rm\u00fc\u015f olur.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Seminar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this seminar is to deepen the understanding of the methodological discussions in Weber\u2019s <em>The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism<\/em>, especially interpretive sociology, the ideal type and causal explanation. Weber\u2019s conception of science, value-freedom, rationalization and the necessity of explaining social phenomena through multiple factors are emphasized to provide a solid basis for later sections of the work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Themes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Interpretive Sociology and Social Action<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Weber\u2019s method based on understanding social action is explained. Social phenomena possess meanings beyond observable behavior; therefore, grasping the intention, purpose and motivation of individuals is essential. The four types of social action and the process of interpretation are discussed.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> The Concept of the Ideal Type<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The meaning, function and appropriate use of Weber\u2019s ideal type are examined. The ideal type does not mirror reality exactly but serves as an intellectual tool for making sense of it. It is presented as a necessary abstraction for dealing with the complexity of historical events.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Causality, Probability and Multiple Factors<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Weber does not search for a single decisive cause in social events; instead, he considers probability, tendencies and multiple interacting factors. Social sciences establish probabilistic rather than deterministic causal links. In this way Weber\u2019s method differs from positivist determinism.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> The Principle of Value-Freedom<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The researcher must avoid injecting personal beliefs, values or ideological preferences into the scientific process. Objectivity is not absolute neutrality but a disciplined methodological stance. Weber\u2019s contribution to scientific ethics is examined.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Rationalization and the Modern World<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Rationalization is described as the defining feature of modern capitalist society. Bureaucracy, law, economy and religious life increasingly evolve toward rational structures. Changes in the world of meaning, calculability, order and regularity transform into basic social norms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This seminar demonstrates how Weber\u2019s methodological approach makes his analysis of Protestant ethics possible. Interpretive sociology, the ideal type, causality and rationalization form the conceptual foundation of the work.
