Only minor lapses (zallah) may occur. The Prophet Muhammad never committed shirk or sin.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Virtue Ranking of the Companions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The order Abu Bakr \u2192 Umar \u2192 Uthman \u2192 Ali responds to Shia claims regarding ideal leadership and virtue\u2013caliphate debates.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Major Sins and Faith<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Unlike the Kharijites, committing major sins does not expel a believer from faith. Unlike the Murji\u2019a, sins do harm a believer. The sinner\u2019s fate depends on divine will.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Nature of Faith<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Faith is affirmation and verbal declaration. Works are not a part of faith. Increase\/decrease occurs in certainty, not quantity.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Conditions of Takfir<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Declaring something clearly forbidden as permissible constitutes disbelief; ordinary sins do not.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> Miracles, Karamat, and Istidraj<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Miracles belong to prophets, karamat to saints, and istidraj to unbelievers like the Dajjal or Pharaoh.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong> Vision of God<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Sunni theology affirms the beatific vision without modality; Mu\u2018tazila denies it because vision implies corporeality.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong> Divine Attributes and Scriptural Expressions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Attributes are affirmed without modality.
